We (Pam and Ron Rich with Pixie Fuller and I) are leaving on August 22nd from Logan Airport and flying to Dublin, the capital of Ireland. From there we take a ferry to Holyhead, Wales. Over the next several days Ron and I will bike down through Wales to its capital Cardiff. The ladies will rent a car and tour the great castles, mountains and seaside of this beautiful country.
We will then cross the river Severn into England, bike and motor through London, one more capital and up to Harwich.
From there we will take a ferry to Hook of Holland. It’s an overnight ferry so we land morning in the Netherlands in the early morning From there, Ron and I will bike through the Netherlands passing by Amsterdam (one more capital) and on to Germany. The ladies will be touring and shopping as we bike.
In Germany, I say goodbye to Pixie and my friends and bike solo across northern Germany through the states Nordrhein-Westphalen, Niedersachen, Anhalt-Sachsen-Anhalt, Brandenberg and ending in Berlin, the last capital. I hope to spend a few days in Berlin and then head home.
The trip will take 6 weeks biking at what I hope will be a leisurely 40 miles per day.
